First impressions
The air purifier comes in two separate parts that need assembling - the main body and the table. This process is extremely easy as just a case of slotting together. However, attaching the tabletop with screws was a bit fiddly and took me a few attempts to get right.
The control panel is extremely easy to use and is composed of buttons located underneath the table.
These include:

- Fan speed (1 -3)
- Child lock
- Mode selection (auto, pet sleep)
- Timer (2, 4 or 6 hours)
- Filter replacement alert
- WiFi connection
You can also control the air purifier via an app - but more on that later.
Design and features
The striking, modern look of this air purifier sets it apart from others on the market. It has a sleek tabletop that can easily blend into your existing décor, whether it’s placed bedside, used as a coffee table, or in a home office.
For those like me who value a calming atmosphere in the evenings, the ambient light setting is a huge bonus. You can choose between ten different colours to set the mood. Not only that, the lights can also be used on automatic mode to display the air quality in the room (blue for good, red for poor). I was also impressed to see it also has a discreet scent drawer where you can add essential oils for a subtle, relaxing fragrance.
Performance
The Switchbot Air Purifier Table doesn't just look good – it’s a high-performing air purifier too. The three-layer filtration system includes a HEPA filter capable of trapping 99.97% of dust, pollen, smoke, and pet dander. It also claims to remove 93% of pet hair.
It also claims to clean a medium-sized room (around 215 sq. ft.) in just over 7 minutes. Despite this power, it’s quiet at just 20dB on its lowest setting. However, I found the highest setting quite loud and disruptive, so I wouldn't recommend using it for long periods.
Smart home appeal
The Switchbot pairs with an app, allowing you to control it remotely, monitor air quality, and schedule it to run while you’re out.
The wireless charger built into the tabletop is another thoughtful touch. It supports Android and iPhones, so you can charge your phone overnight without any trailing wires.
