Gtech Multi MK2 K9 review

The lowdown:

Easy to use, light and powerful, this is a great handheld vacuum. Turn on and off at the push of a button, you’re ready to go.

While it takes four hours to charge, this isn’t designed for long vacuuming sessions and the 20-minute runtime should provide ample power to tackle spills, accidents, and spot cleaning.

This handheld vacuum is bagless, and the bin lifts out from the body so you can open it over a bin to clean.

I think everyone needs a handheld vacuum in their life and this is a great model.

Features:

It comes with a good range of accessories, and you can even store the crevice tool ‘on board’, which means you’re not having to carry it around.

The tool includes an LED headlight, too, which is practical for illuminating the nooks and crannies you’ll be likely cleaning with this vacuum.

You can remove the brush bar to clean by simply twisting the latch to unlock and lift out.

Super helpful LED lights indicate how much charge is left - when it’s fully charged, these LEDs turn solid green.

Like the other Gtech vacuums, this one comes with scented cartridges, and while I’m not a huge fan, they’re ideal if you like plug-in air fresheners.

I found the accessories worked well when I cleaned my car, but for purists, you can buy a Car Accessory Kit for £50.

The results:

The main thing to recommend this vacuum to parents everywhere, is that my 12-year-old son used it to tidy up after he had friends to stay. I didn’t even have to ask. He just thought it looked fun and vacuumed up all the crumbs and crisps that had been trodden into the carpet.

In other words, this is so easy-to-use and packs enough power to tackle classic family debris, I gave this 19 out of 20. I think everyone needs a handheld vacuum in their life and this is a great model.

Value for money:

The RRP for this handheld vacuum is £199.99 and it comes with a two-year warranty, so given all the accessories it comes with, I think it’s good value for money.
