This is a festive twist on a classic gin-based Tom Collins cocktail, with a deliciously Christmassy chocolate orange flavour replacing the traditional lemon.

To make this cocktail, you'll need a cocktail making kit with a shaker, strainer and measuring jigger, and a potato peeler for your garnish.

Watch the video below to let us guide you through the recipe, step by step!

Ingredients

  • 50ml Jaffa Cake Gin a double measure
  • 25ml Smooth orange juice a single measure
  • 2tsp Monin Pure Sugar Cane Syrup
  • Soda water to top up
  • A twist of orange peel
  • 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
  • Handful of ice

Method

  • Step 1

Pull your peeler around your orange to cut a long strip of peel, avoiding cutting into the white pith. Trim the edges, coil it up around your finger then set it aside.

  • Step 2

Half-fill your cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in a double measure of Jaffa Cake Gin,. Add a single measure of orange juice. Then two teaspoons of sugar syrup.

  • Step 3

Secure the lid, and shake for around 10 seconds to chill and combine your ingredients.

  • Step 4

Pop some fresh ice cubes into a tall glass. Place your cocktail strainer over the mouth of the shaker and carefully pour your gin mix into the glass. Top up the glass with sparkling water, give it a stir, then add the garnishes - and you’re ready to serve!
