Habitat has unveiled a second range of couture-inspired homeware in collaboration with trendy London fashion label Shrimps.
It was back in summer 2018 that Habitat revealed its first collaboration with Shrimps, the brainchild of English fashion designer Hannah Weiland. The home textiles range, was inspired by the label's iconic faux-fur outerware, was sell-out success - so we couldn't be happier to see that Shrimps and Habitat have teamed up again.
The new collection is inspired by '1970s Palm Springs'. In case you didn't happen to be around then, that means a sunny palette of yellow, sage, blush pink and sky blue, with plenty of rattan. It's an uplifting palette that would be a perfect complement to a Santa Fe-style scheme.
Even more exciting, this second collaboration has moved beyond textiles into the realm of homeware, including a chair, freestanding cabinet and a lamp, as well as artwork inspired by Shrimps' quirky look.
We've handpicked our five standout items from the collection - but you can see the full range here. It's limited edition, so you'd better hurry!
Marlon rattan armchair, £395
Autumn might be drawing in, but this armchair puts us right back on the beach - in our minds, at least! Made of handwoven rattan, with sunny yellow-check cushions, it would look perfect in a conservatory or any light-filled room.
Wilder green hand-tufted rug, £395
A hand-tufted rug with a design modelled on Shrimps' playful artwork, this is a one-of-a-kind accessory! Plus, we just love the colours - that rich, deep green backdrop and the array of cute pastel details.
Gene yellow square wool cushion, £60
This fluffy bundle of joy would add an instant pop to any chair or sofa! Once again, it incorporates the yellow-checkerboard pattern which acts as a motif through the collection. Shrimps founder Hannah Weiland says the design is meant to evoke California in the 1970s. And if you're loving those sunshiney vibes, the pattern is also available as a rug!
Framed print, £85
If you're a fan of Shrimps' Doodle clutch bag, this print will look familiar! Using the same instantly recognisable art style but with a new cast of characters, this quirky print would bring playful spirit to the blandest of walls. Rattan shade and ceramic base table lamp, £130
With its retro-beachy combo of pastel sunshine yellow and woven rattan, this instantly eye-catching lamp has got some serious Golden Girls vibes.
We're pretty devastated that it's currently listed as 'Sold Out, just a day after the launch - fingers crossed there's some extra stock in the pipeline!
