My Insta story…
I started using Instagram last year as I’d made a New Year’s resolution to take more photos and needed a place to put them. Initially it was a random collection of shots but by autumn my Instagram had become home and décor related.
My top tips…
1
Stick to your niche.
People like to know what to expect. If you post a Formula One racing photo one day and a cute cat the next it’s harder to find people who love both so much they want to follow you.
2
Stories
Use Insta stories to make yourself more personable. Instagram has a reputation as a place where everything is presented as perfect. Insta stories is the ideal way to show more varied sides of your life and interests, as well as the behind-the-scenes type of photos and videos.
3
Interact
Instagram is meant to be social, so be out there, make friends and find your tribe of like-minded Instagrammers. That’s what makes it fun! The best way to do this is to interact with people – everybody loves a meaningful comment.
