Geraniums burst into bloom in spring, bringing life to gardens up and down the country, which makes this the perfect evocative scent of spring. With additional notes of peppermint and Sicilian orange, the end result is a wonderfully uplifting blend of herby florals with twist of fresh citrus.

Cherry Blossom, £24.99, Yankee Candle
If spring for you is all about beautiful blooming florals, we think you’ll love Yankee Candle’s Cherry Blossom scent!
The smell is beautiful and delicate, so it’s perfect if you prefer more subtle floral fragrances. Although the candle has top notes of sweet cherry and rose, it also has base notes of musk and sandalwood – these give it a sophisticated edge and prevent it from being overpoweringly sweet, despite its candy floss colour.
As with all Yankee Candles, the wax burns down evenly and the scent, although delicate, will fill your whole room. We love it!

If you’re not a fan of more traditional, delicate floral spring scents, Aery’s Persian Thyme scent, available at John Lewis, is ideal if you’re after something a little bit different but just as evocative.
The scent is spicy, but in a fresh, men’s aftershave sort of way rather than a Christmassy way. With notes of refreshing pepper and bergamot, the scent is powerful yet light and, as it’s vegan soy wax formulation will allow it to burn for up to 50 hours!
The Last Paradise, £20.99, Yankee Candle
Okay… so we know this is another Yankee Candle, but we just couldn’t leave this off the list! Here at YourHomeStyle, the thing we love most about spring is the return of sunshine, so we love the fact that one sniff of The Last Paradise candle will have you dreaming about far away islands In the sun.
Inspired by exotic rainforest fruits and flowers, this candle combines green apple and hibiscus, but to us, it smells like juicy watermelon. Aside from the beautiful smell, we also love the fact that this candle is a beautiful bright coral shade, so not only will it make your home smell incredible, but it’ll brighten up your coffee table or mantelpiece too!
Gingerlily Three Wick Candle, £60, Molton Brown
Although Molton Brown products are on the pricier end of the spectrum, if you’re looking to treat yourself to a bit of a splurge purchase ahead of the new season, we can’t recommend their Gingerlily range enough!
Like Yankee Candle’s Cherry Blossom, the scent has base notes of sophisticated musk and sandalwood, but the top notes of ginger and peach are what really set it apart from other fragrances. These notes, combined with a heart of tuberose and plum, give the scent a fresh but luxurious feel that’s perfect for your home during the spring.
Wild Flowers, £45, Von Norten
It’s hard to imagine a candle getting closer to the scent of a newly-picked bunch of blooms than Von Norten’s Wild Flowers. It’s bursting with the fragrance of blossoming peonies and hedgerow flowers.
The best part is that even when it’s not lit, you’ll find yourself encountering wafts of its fresh floral bouquet. It’s a luxury candle with a luxury price tag, but definitely cheaper than buying yourself a bunch of flowers every week!
