Transform an old vase or plant pot with this easy marble vase tutorial
Use this dipping technique to breathe new life into an old vase or plant pot.
Fill an old bowl with water ready for your marbling inks. You will need to make sure the bowl is deeper than the height of the marble effect you’d like to create on the vase, as you will be dunking the vase into the bowl. Add a few drops of the marbling inks.
Using a mixing stick, begin swirling the marbling inks together in the bowl to create your pattern.
Once you are happy, slowly place your vase into the marbled water, moving it downwards to touch the bottom of the bowl before removing. If you want to create a precise line around the vase, use washi tape to section off the marbling and paint the top of the ceramic with white spray paint once dry.
