You will need:

  • Gingerbread man template - download and print here
  • Festive-patterned papers
  • Brown paper and red card
  • Circle and hole punch
  • Heart punch
  • Ribbon and twine
  • Jingle bells and buttons
  • Glitter glue
  • White gel pen
  • Pinking shears
  • Craft knife or scissors

Step 1

Use the template on page 135 to mark and cut out two gingerbread men. Cover the outsides of your gingerbread men with brown paper and the insides with dotty paper. Use strong glue to affix both shapes at the top of the head.

Step 2

Cut a waistcoat out of the zigzag paper and stick it to the gingerbread man who’ll be at the front of your card. Top the waistcoat with three buttons and add a bow tie made from two punched hearts and a gem.

Step 3

Cut four white strips with pinking shears and add them to the arms and legs. Use a white gel pen to add faux stitching. Punch two eyes using a hole punch and a mouth with a circle punch.

Step 4

Stamp or handwrite a sentiment. Cut it into a star shape, edge it with silver glitter, top it with ribbon and add it to the card.
