Should anyone really get this excited about a robot vacuum? No. I am well aware that ranting and raving about how this little piece of tech has changed my life is very lame. And yet, here I am.
Today, I want to tell you about the Proscenic Robot Vacuum and how it is now under £130 in the Black Friday sale. Furthermore, I want to tell you why you should invest in it.
The Proscenic is a run-of-the-mill robot vacuum, but what I love about it is the price point. A lot of companies will slap on a massive price tag simply because it can get away with it, but at the root of it – all robot vacuums function fairly similarly.
You might as well go for the affordable option – and this one is fantastic value for money. I've had mine for three years and she is still going strong. Oh, yes – my robot vacuum is a she, affectionately named "Gladys" by the family.

Pros: Takes the stress out of finding time to clean, vacuums and mops, great battery life, cute to look at. Ideal if you have pet hair that accumulates everywhere.
Cons: Won't pick up tiny crumbs right in corners of rooms, same noise level as a regular vacuum. Pets will give it the side-eye.
How does a robot vacuum work?
The Proscenic 850T can simultaneously vacuum and mop to remove dust on all hard floors, and drives itself around any room you wish it to clean, learning where the walls are and steps to avoid.
The three power gears (max, standard and quiet) are suitable for all types of floors and low-pile carpets – sucking up surface dust, debris, pet hair, and dirt. (PS: it can automatically recognise carpets and switch to maximum suction mode as it does so, just make sure you don't have the mop mode on... for obvious reasons).
I control mine with its easy-to-use remote control, but you can hook the vacuum up to Siri, Google Home, or Alexa voice commands, using the Proscenic app.
Why will a robot vacuum change your life?
You can schedule your robot vacuum to wake up before you do, and vacuum and mop the kitchen before you're down for your morning brew. It is truly life-changing to not have to spend time dragging out the heavy vacuum from the under-stairs cupboard and hauling it about, because there's a little robot that does it for you... while you're sleeping. Genius.
Overall, with a major discount like this, there's no reason not to take the plunge and get yourself a robot vacuum. I did just that three years ago, and I've never regretted it. My cat on the other hand... is not the biggest fan. But she rolls her eyes at me too, so I guess Gladys and I have one thing in common.
