Joseph Joseph tri folding kitchen scale
Measuring just 15 centimetres long when folded, these scales are the ones for you if you’re short on space. It's not short on features, though, with an add-and-weigh function to let you add multiple ingredients in the same bowl, as well as the ability to switch between dry foods and liquids, and metric and imperial units.
Don’t be tempted to press down too hard on the touch screen controls – a light pressure is enough. While we wouldn’t risk balancing a heavy stand mixer bowl on it, it’s a brilliant choice for everyday cooking.
Kabalo digital LCD weighing scales
This bold set of scales are a smart budget buy, holding a maximum weight of 5kg. The bright colour, curved edges and funky logo would fit in perfectly with a retro style kitchen, or one with red as an accent hue. It’s really simple to use, the tare function works seamlessly and it will fit in most drawers or cabinets with ease. A setting to measure liquids would have been handy, but for this price, you’re getting plenty for your money.
TASTY+ Jade green kitchen scales
Say goodbye to buying batteries for your kitchen scales with this self-charging option. Simply turn the knob and it is charged and ready to go – we love how eco-friendly these are! The scale is very simple to use and has multi-measuring options. It has a modern, slim design, is available in chic shades and comes complete with a stylish glass top for easy cleaning and storing.
Salter bamboo rechargeable scale
Made from sustainably grown bamboo, you won’t want to banish these stylish scales to the depths of your baking drawer. Capable of weighing up to 5kg, the bright display light and touch side controls mean no messy fingerprints or flour affecting the screen. While the rechargeable battery avoids fiddling with tiny screws, note that this means the scales can’t be used while charging, so you'll need to make sure you're fully-charged before you start any batch baking sessions. However, the good news is that a single two-hour charge will last you up to six months.
